Filthy dirty

This track is taken of Daft Punk’s 2nd album, Discovery which was released in 2001. Which is my favourite Daft Punk album. This track “Short Cicuit” samples Prince – The Ballad of Dorothy Parker for its break down around 1:26. Sick!

Oxygen is a deep sci-fi funk strut with gut-busting bass frequencies underpinning an uncompromising synth rinseout. The deep soundscape of the track is largly thanks to a splatter of B Movie samples – perfect material for an apocalyptic set.

The record was produced by Planas & Ruckspin and released under Ranking Records in London and was the b side to their sixth 12″ release which also features a track by Reso & Ruckspin. All information about the producer’s, label and where to buy the ep is availible below.

Maybach Music 2 was recorded by American rapper Rick Ross and released as the third single from his third studio album, Deeper Than Rap. The song features Kanye West, T-Pain, and Lil Wayne.

The song features a sample of Dexter Wensel’s, Time Is Teacher from his 1978 album Voyager. J.U.S.T.I.C.E League told on a youtube video how they enlisted string players for the beat and the use of a lot of live instrumentation, also the use of different synths and strings for each verse tailored to the artist who would be accompanying each.
